Industry can still try and optimise the reception of its case by nurturing a constructive dialogue with Member State Competent Authorities as well as ECHA and the EU Commission.
Industry can also proactively set up the structure that will assist the value chain and lead it through the preparation of the Application for Authorisation. Organising a consortium for Authorisation may be much more challenging and time consuming than was the setting up of the consortia for Registration. It is unlikely that existing consortia under the current form could be used for the Authorisation process. The path will be paved with many intricate legal issues!
